Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to time a race?

Race timing starts at a $550 minimum in San Angelo. Pricing increases based on travel time, number of runners, and race distance. Tell us about your event for a complete quote.

Use RunSignup as your registration platform and receive a 10% discount on race timing.

Can we time a smaller race ourselves?

Yes. For smaller races with a manageable finish-line flow, a free phone app such as RunSignup's RaceDay Mobile Timing app can be a practical option. Its Score and Publish mode is designed for a single event with one start time.

Read RunSignup's small-race timing guide ↗ · Step-by-step app instructions ↗

Webscorer is another option, though its free version is limited to five racers; larger fields require a paid plan. See Webscorer's app and getting-started information ↗.

Can you time both road and trail races?

Yes. YR Timing specializes in running races on both surfaces. Include your course location and terrain in your inquiry.

Can runners see results on their phones?

Yes. Our results site lets runners select an event and search by name or bib. Live results update as finish data becomes available.

What do you need to prepare a quote?
